Travel to Indonesia : This is Indonesia, the largest archipelagic country in the world, a huge chain of more than 135,000 islands, stretching about 5,000 km between Australia and Asia. And like all tropical islands, the islands of Indonesia are also famous for their pristine beaches and thrilling water sports.

Just beyond are green hills, towered by dramatic volcanoes. And besides the beauty of the scenery, Indonesia also has a valuable cultural wealth. So there are several reasons to travel to Indonesia .

Beach and Water Sports

Beaches and water sports are Indonesia’s main attractions. A long history has endowed Indonesia with an interesting culture and an evocative heritage. Yogyakarta on the island of Java is famous for the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan. Borobudur is considered one of the wonders of the ancient world while Prambanan Temples are in a league of their own.

This relic reminds visitors of Indonesia’s glorious past. Jakarta, a bustling city and the capital city of Indonesia, is also on the island of Java. It has all the ingredients of the Eastern metropolis. Lombok is famous for its beautiful beaches and large and towering volcanoes. Bali is prized for its rugged coastline and sandy beaches.

Ubud, located in Bali, is a treasure trove of Indonesian culture. As for water sports, you can enjoy various water sports such as skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and many more.

Climate

Indonesia, which has a tropical climate, does not have much difference in temperature in different parts of the year. Like all tropical places, it too has a hot and humid climate. The hills are slightly cooler than the plains. The driest weather is from June to September, while the western monsoon brings rainfall, from December to March. Thunderstorms occur throughout the year.

Language & Religion

The only official language here is Indonesian, known as Bahasa Indonesia. It is based on the Malay dialect. Educated Indonesians can understand and speak English. People who have graduated from Islamic religious institutions know Arabic. As for religion, Islam is the dominant religion here. However, people are tolerant of other religions.

Topography

The beauty of Indonesia lies in the large number of islands. Most of the island is still unexplored. Indonesia provides travelers to explore the virgin lands and discover the secrets of nature that are still hidden in nature.

The archipelago is so large that of the 13,000 islands, only 1500 have been named. Java Island is the largest island in Indonesia. Most of the islands are mountainous with plains only in coastal areas.
